Sample Wind Mitigation Letter to Homeowner
Dear Homeowner,
As of 1/2012 most insurance companies are only accepting a new mitigation report completed on the Florida State Office Of Insurance Regulation OIR-1802 mitigation affidavit dated 2012. To be in compliance every building of our association must provide attic photographs of each building. The inspection Company, Felten Professional Adjustment Team (FPAT) will need access to the attic area of one upper floor unit in each building. Your cooperation is needed as the inspection report will reduce the cost of insurance for the association and all the unit owners. To put it in simple terms, no pictures, no mitigation credits. FPAT will make every effort to complete the inspection in a timely manner, no more than 15 minutes or less in each attic. The benefits will carry on for 5 years. We hope you all cooperate in reducing all of our insurance costs.
